About the code references

Code references are to the 2020 National Electrical Code as adopted by Louisiana effective January 1, 2023, and note the 2023 NEC adoption approved by the LSUCCC on July 7, 2026. Code adoption changes. Verify the edition in force for your permit at the time you apply, with the authority having jurisdiction over your address.
